Love Maniac gameplay overview

You play as Frisk in a parody RPG: survive pattern-based attacks, advance story scenes, then unlock replays in the Gallery. Sessions are short; difficulty comes from learning dodge patterns, not grinding.

1. Main menu and intro (0.3.3 adds more languages).
2. Bullet-hell combat — move the soul in the box.
3. Scene phases with tutorials and, in 0.3.x, a lust meter.
4. Gallery unlocks for replay; some routes include a short overworld.

Quick start

1. Get the game: Windows, Linux, or Android builds are on the Download page (free, official itch.io).
2. Learn controls: PC: mouse or keyboard for the soul. Mobile: touch and drag inside the battle box.
3. Play & unlock: Clear fights, watch scenes, then check Gallery and the unlock table below.

Controls (PC & mobile gameplay)

Patch 0.3.3 adds in-game languages (e.g. Spanish and Russian); English with subtitles remains available.

Combat & bullet-hell tips

The first fight sets the pattern for Love Maniac gameplay: dodge until each phase ends, then follow scene prompts.

1. Dodge bullets in the box until the phase timer or pattern ends.
2. Watch the final chain-style attack — observe the rhythm and follow it; it gets easier after a few tries.
3. Use Fight / Act menus when offered (Undertale-style UI on PC and mobile).
4. New attack patterns and a redesigned Chara arrived in 0.3.2; save slots let you retry without starting over.

No separate hard mode and no need for a no-hit run — learning patterns is enough. Sessions stay short.

Patch notes for 0.3.3 and older builds live on Updates (not repeated here).

Lust meter & scene mechanics (0.3.x)

• 0.3.2 added a lust meter during scenes (Team Nebula) — it fills as scenes play and ties into the 0.3.x scene flow.
• New scene types in the public build include thighjob and titjob content (0.3.2 release post).
• Save slots (0.3.2) let you keep multiple runs; use them from the in-game save UI when starting or continuing.
• From 0.2 onward, tutorial pop-ups explain scene controls the first time you see them.

Gallery & progression

• Unlock scenes by playing through fights and story — new entries appear in the Gallery menu.
• Replay unlocked scenes, mute gallery music (speaker icon), and use undress where the build offers it.
• After some scenes you can enter a short overworld and interact with Chara (0.2 public release).
• Gallery empty? You need to unlock content in a playthrough first — then revisit Gallery.

All endings & unlockables (public build)

Love Maniac is early-access content from Team Nebula. The free itch build (v0.3.3) is scene- and gallery-driven — not a full multi-route Undertale ending tree yet. Everything below is confirmed in official devlogs for the public build:

Not in the public build yet (check Updates / FAQ)

• Full multi-ending route tree — still in development per roadmap-style posts.
• Male Frisk option — announced for a future update (Team Nebula on itch).
• Storyshift Chara and other AU characters — fundraising goals, not in current free builds.

Quick fixes while playing

• Soul (heart) does not move on PC — Use the latest public itch build and try keyboard (arrows or WASD) instead of the mouse. Details in FAQ.
• Android: parse error or “not compatible” — Extract the official .rar to get the .apk; 64-bit Android 12–16 is typical. See FAQ and Download.
• Gallery has no scenes — Unlock scenes during a playthrough first, then open Gallery from the menu.
